Job Title: Integrated Hardware & Software Engineer

Location: Warwickshire

EES Solution is looking for highly skilled Integrated Hardware & Software Engineers to join our engineering team. In this position, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, integration, and deployment of comprehensive information systems, encompassing both hardware and software, to ensure seamless implementation in our customers' environments.

This role sits at the intersection of systems design, solution integration, and customer engagement, requiring both technical depth and the ability to work closely with stakeholders, including sales, technical teams, and end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and implement hardware/software solutions tailored to customer environments.
  • Advise internal sales or customer-facing teams on the technical capabilities and integration requirements of proposed solutions.
  • Conduct system assessments, feasibility studies, and performance analysis for new solution proposals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify customisation needs, cost estimates, and system architecture considerations.
  • Develop and maintain system models, flowcharts, and documentation to ensure robust understanding and future maintainability.
  • Create detailed system and programming specifications based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure system integration is smooth and compatible with the existing customer infrastructure.
  • Support post-installation activities including testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain technical documentation for systems operations, support, and enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in the integration of complex software and hardware systems.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with system architecture modelling and configuration.
  • Competence in preparing technical documentation and user/system guides.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in customer-facing or cross-functional collaboration roles.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with embedded systems, real-time operating systems, or industrial control systems.
  • Experience with system simulation or performance modelling tools.
  • Knowledge of common communication protocols and hardware interface standards.
  • Experience working in automotive, aerospace, defence, or related high-tech industries.
