Job Title: Cyber Technical Writer/Author

Duration: 6 months (Possibility for extension)

Location: Warwick/Hybrid (2 days per week on site)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Author with experience in Operational Technology (OT) systems to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and assessing procedures and processes related to OT backups. Your expertise will ensure that our documentation is accurate, accessible, and adheres to the highest standards of clarity and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation Development: Create and maintain clear and concise procedures and local work instructions for operational sites related to OT backups.
• Engagement: Collaborate with operational teams to gather accurate information and ensure that it is Embedded in local work instructions and procedures.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits as necessary to collect firsthand information and insights to inform documentation.
• Project Delivery: Work alongside project managers to deliver agreed projects from initiation to completion while adhering to all Transmission Cyber standards and procedures.
• Stakeholder Communication: Develop strong relationships with various stakeholders, including GT Cyber Programme, GT Construction, Engineering, and Operations teams, to facilitate effective information flow.
• Vendor Collaboration: Engage with vendors and third parties to customise documentation and collaborate on joint project efforts.

Key Accountabilities:

• Operational Technology Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of OT systems such as ICS, SCADA, and PLCs.
• Quality Documentation: Produce high-quality documentation and diagrams that are clear, competent, and effective.
• Project Methodologies: Apply knowledge of project methodologies to ensure that documentation aligns with operational and security requirements.
• Cyber Standards Compliance: Adhere to cybersecurity standards and regulations, including OES under NIS Regulations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience: Proven experience in documenting or working with OT systems, particularly in the energy sector.

Communication Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of GT Cyber, business operations, engineering drivers, and IT implications for projects.

Track Record: Successful history of delivering standard operating procedures and local work instructions.
