HR Administrator - Absence and Wellbeing

We are partnered with a leading manufactoring business in their search for a HR administrator, with a a focus on absense & wellbeing. This individual will enhance employee wellbeing and manage absence processes within HR, as well as support with implementing wellbeing initiatives, handling sensitive employee relations, and ensuring efficient absence management. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive workplace, promote engagement, and maintain compliance with occupational health standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Absence Administration:

  • Process employee absence in the system and file documentation electronically.
  • Produce correspondence to support the Absence and Wellbeing Officer including occupational health and absence review meeting invitations, and workplan letters.
  • Administer occupational health management advice and pre-employment reports.
  • Support the Absence and Wellbeing Officer with welfare calls and medical referrals.
  • Assist the Absence and Wellbeing Officer with preparing and providing all required paperwork prior and subsequent to capability meetings.
  • Take notes in absence review and formal capability meetings.

Wellbeing Programs:

  • Support and collaborate with the Wellbeing & Absence Advisor with the creation and implementation of wellbeing initiatives.

Employee Assistance:

  • Deal with phone calls and queries as required.
  • Provide information on available support services and resources.

Health Surveillance Coordination & Administration

  • Coordinate health surveillance and maintain health surveillance records for all employees.

Wellbeing Educational Campaigns:

  • Support the delivery of management training workshops.
  • Assist to promote awareness of available resources and support systems.

Benefits Administration

  • Administer eyecare scheme.

General

  • Process departmental invoices.
  • Manage room bookings.
  • Support with any other administration for the department as required

Person Specification - Member of CIPD and/or relevant business degree - Commercially aware with strongly developed emotional maturity - At least 3 years' experience in a HR advisory position in a multi-site service business - Experience of TUPE transfer of staff - Excellent communicator to both HR and non-HR staff of varying seniority throughout the business - Strong team player
