Role: CAD Technician

Location: Remote - Office based in Warwick

Duration: 6 months initial

Rate: 50 P/hr PAYE

Rullion are working alongside a global leader in the manufacture of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines and we are currently look for a CAD Technician to provide support on a long term contract basis. Initial 6 months available with a view to extend.

Responsibilities: - Create 3D models and detailed drawings for new and updated gas turbine components - Remaster old drawings to create definitions that meet modern standards - Support colleagues in taking new and updated components through the design review process - Manage Definition Alteration Requests (DARs) - Support colleagues in updating Bills of Material and gas turbine configurations in Siemens PLM2020 Qualifications and experience: Required - Proficient in using mainstream CAD software - BTEC, HND or HNC in a recognised engineering discipline - Able to read old drawings and designs - Comfortable working in imperial units - Able to investigate small-assembly drawings: (i) can find information detailed in drawing notes, (ii) understands stock thickness and can interpret cross-section geometry (e.g. round cross sections for machining parts from solid bar, etc) Preferable: - Proficient in using Siemens NX and PLM2020 software - Experience of draughting gas turbine components - Experience of producing drawings for review and release through a formal design review process - Familiar with aerospace and/or industrial gas turbine specifications and procedures - Experience of CAD part alignment to support building whole-engine CAD models
