Supply Cover Supervisor Warwickshire ASAP
Location: Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Southam, Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding areas
Hours: Typically 8:30am-3:30pm
Contract: Daily supply (flexible - based on your availability)
Pay rate: £100-£120 per day
Are you a confident, flexible and reliable Cover Supervisor, with the ability to inspire and enthuse Secondary School students, so that they maintain their learning in the absence of their regular teacher?
At Twenty4Seven Education we work with multiple supportive Secondary Schools across the Warwickshire area, offering day-to-day opportunities starting ASAP.
As a Supply Cover Supervisor, you will cover KS3/KS4 classes for short periods of absence. This is a rewarding job and one that provides valuable experiences in the classroom especially if you are looking for a stepping stone in order to get into teaching.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Safeguard pupils well-being by following relevant statutory guidance along with school policies, procedures and practice
- Demonstrate positive attitudes, values and behaviours to develop and sustain effective relationships with the school community
- Maintain clear and professional communication with pupils and staff
- Arrive promptly at the classroom and meet and greet the students. Take the register in accordance with school procedures
- Encourage students to fully engage and complete the pre-planned work/activities set by the class teacher ensuring pupil progress
- Provide pupils with feedback on their progress where appropriate
- Collect any completed work after the lesson, returning it to the appropriate teacher
- Manage the behaviour of students in line with the school policy ensuring a positive and constructive environment
- Report back, as appropriate, using the school s agreed procedures on the behaviour of students during the class, and any issues arising
- Ensure that communication links with the appropriate teacher are established to ensure continuity is maintained
Qualifications & Experience:
- Right to work in the UK
- Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
- GCSE or equivalent level, including at least at Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths
- Undertaking/completed an Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree is desirable
- Experience working with children within an educational setting or similar is desirable
- Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills and active listening skills
- Great organisation skills
