We have an opening for a temporary Business Development Officer to join our client, a West Midlands based Local Authority.Job Title: Business Development OfficerDuration: Temporary ongoingCompany: Warwickshire County CouncilSalary: 13.70 per hourLocation: Working on a hybrid basis between the hours of 09:00 - 17:30 (17:00 finish on a Friday)Contract: Temporary contract running until DecemberStart Date: ASAPAbout us and the roleOn behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Officer to join a dedicated team at Warwickshire Safeguarding Partnership. This role is pivotal in supporting and advancing safeguarding efforts across Warwickshire. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including elected members, Chief Officers, and service heads, to ensure the effective functioning and development of the Partnership.Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide robust administrative support to the Partnership, including minuting meetings and managing associated tasks.
  • Website Management: Develop and manage the Partnership's independent website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date content.
  • Public Engagement: Work with the public, service users, and carers to enhance service user engagement and involvement.
  • Social Media: Lead the development of the Partnership's social media presence.
  • Quality Assurance: Support the Quality, Learning, and Improvement Officers in developing and implementing the Partnership's quality assurance framework.
  • Data Management: Manage multi-agency case audits and prepare data analysis reports.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate safeguarding awareness events and statutory reviews.
  • Budget Management: Oversee a delegated budget for safeguarding events.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
  • Experience: Broad practical knowledge of office administration or relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Experience in minuting strategic meetings and setting up information systems.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, proficiency in IT (Word, Excel, Outlook), and the ability to develop positive professional relationships.
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, able to respond to changing priorities, work under pressure, and manage own work priorities effectively.
