Local News Plans submitted for Warwick industrial building to be upgraded

Part of a Warwick industrial building could be demolished and rebuilt, if plans are signed off by Warwick District Council.

An application to remodel unit 5a at Budbrooke Industrial Estate has been submitted, including plans to demolish the single-storey rear part of the building.

If approved, this would then be replaced with a new single-storey extension.

The building has been used for manufacturing for many decades, most recently by a jewellery manufacturer until 2019 (Niagara Falls Plating Company Ltd), and has been used for car storage since 2020.

The replacement building will be 9.4 metres tall.

It will be divided into six bays with roller shutter doors before each.

"This will enable the unit to be used more flexibly than existing," the application said.

The new unit will also be slightly taller, allowing larger vehicles and fork lift trucks to access the building.
