Yellow weather warning issued for Warwick today

A yellow weather warning has been issued for Warwick today (May 9) with meteorologists warning of heavy thunderstorms.

The Met Office has put the warning in place from 11am today until 10pm tonight with disruption to travel predicted.

The Met Office has also warned of "flooding of a few homes and businesses" and said there "probably" will be damage to buildings due to lightening.

Delays to train services are possible as is some short term loss of power.

Much of the West Midlands, Warwickshire and the south of England are set to be affected.
