Work is well underway on nine new canalside townhouses being built in Warwick.

Planning permission for the 'Emscote Old Wharf' development alongside the Grand Union Canal was granted by Warwick District Council in 2019.

And at the start of June Cotswold Oak Ltd announced that it had begun work on site.

While the properties are not yet available, property agent Peter Clarke is now encouraging enquiries on the site.

The advert on the company website says: "Emscote Old Wharf is a canal side development of nine townhouses conveniently located between Warwick and Leamington Spa.

"Situated in a private courtyard with parking.

"All the townhouses have frontages to the Grand Union Canal and are to be built to a high specification by quality developers, Cotswold Oak."

A former hand car wash was demolished to make way for the houses earlier this year.

And as part of the scheme a new access road will be built off All Saints Road - closing the former entrance off Emscote Road.

Photographs sent to Nub News by local resident Geoff Ousbey show the work underway.
