Warwick School of Dance moves to first permanent home
Law firm, Buckles, has assisted small business owner, Dr Emily Twitchett, in the completion of a deal to secure the Warwick School of Dance its first permanent home.
Having worked throughout the festive period to finalise a six-year lease on the property, Buckles has enabled the dance school, which first launched in 2014, to take up its new residence on Coton End, Warwick, a little over a month since initial enquiries were made.
Dr Twitchett explained: "I have been hiring local halls and community centres for the last nine years, so to have a location that will be ours alone, is incredibly exciting.
"The location of the property was important, as it's in the same neighbourhood as the venue that we have been using, plus it's close to cafes, shops and has a car park and it has the space that we need.
"Bhavika Patel (from Buckles) was personally recommended by the owner of the café and bakery who occupy the ground floor of the property. We have the same landlord and managing agent so it made sense to trust someone familiar with the people involved if I was to secure the lease quickly.
"She did everything that was needed in terms of preparing, checking and amending the lease and other paperwork, working hard over the Christmas and New Year period to try to get the process completed as soon as we could. She kept me informed every step of the way and was invaluable in terms of advice, both legal and logistical! I can't thank her enough."
The new property has undergone extensive renovations to soundproof the space and transform it into two specialist dance studios which now host a range of classes for recreational and professional dance training from ages two to adult (including seniors).
The school says it prides itself on being inclusive and offering a safe environment to all who attend.
Bhavika added: "This is the first commercial lease that Emily has been party to, so I felt it crucial to ensure she felt supported at all times, taking my time to explain each step of the process.
"Often negotiation of commercial leases can be quite lengthy and protracted, but I was able to utilise my extensive experience and existing relationships to benefit the client and complete the deal to a time frame that will support the ongoing business requirements of all concerned."
