Green bin charges in Warwick district look set to remain the same next year.

Warwick District Council's (WDC) cabinet has signed off on next year's fees and charges for services across the area.

This includes the decision to keep fees for green bins at £51.

Cabinet has also agreed to only put parking prices up in some car parks across the district.

Councillors also agreed to invest in the renewal of equipment at the Oakley Wood Crematorium to be funded through a small increase of no more than one per cent in some charges.

The new fees need to be signed off by the full council before they are agreed.

"At a time when many residents are feeling the pinch because of the cost of living, we are pleased to propose a freeze to green bin and a majority of our car park charges whilst continuing to invest in our services," Cllr Jonathan Chilvers said.

"We are thankful to be in a position to take these decisions for residents due to good planning, prudent budget management and the flexibility and innovation of staff in implementing our change programme."
