A Warwick audiology clinic has thanked the support of the local community, having just celebrated its first anniversary.

Kabir Hussain first opened Warwick Hearing Specialists on New Street in early 2023, having left his job with a high street brand to provide personal, bespoke care to the local community.

Just over a year later, the business has grown massively, and now offers a wide range of services including ear wax removal, hearing tests, hearing aids, emergency object removal and more.

Warwick Hearing Specialists will also see patients under the age of 18 - unlike many other local audiologists.

"It has gone really well, we have been steadily building up our client base in Warwick and across Warwickshire," Kabir said, reflecting on his first year since opening. 

"A lot of customers want more of a bespoke service, rather than going to a high street chain.

"Of course it was challenging when we first opened but business has continued to grow. 

"We will see anyone and everyone, including under 18's. And we have people coming from all over Warwickshire."

Having looked at a few premises locally, Kabir took over the unit on New Street in late 2022 before spending months renovating the former hair salon.

Now the independent practice boasts a state-of-the-art clinic. This combined with the highly trained team means Warwick Hearing Specialists can provide "top-tier audiology services" to the local community.

"Our Google Reviews speak for themselves," Kabir added. 

"The fact we have so many happy customers is so heartwarming and gratifying. 

"And it is not just the hearing aids, sometimes we get people who have had blocked ears or stuff stuck in their ears, we can take them out - and instantly the sense of relief the person gets is incredible. 

"They may have spent a couple of days worrying they are going to lose their hearing, and then we can take that all away quickly for them. It can be very heartwarming."

Warwick Hearing Specialists sees patients on an appointment-only basis, meaning each client will receive genuine one-to-one care and the team's full attention.

And for those not able to get to New Street in person, the business also offers home visits across Warwickshire.

Stressing the importance of this service, Kabir explained: "A lot of people cannot come to us, so we come to them. 

"You can see on our reviews some great feedback from our home visits. 

"There are lots of instances where people cannot access care through no fault of their own, so we want to make sure they are still able to get their hearing checked."

Kabir told Nub News he first considered becoming an audiologist as a teenager, having seen the experience of a family friend who was suffering with hearing loss, whose life was "transformed" when they were able to get a hearing aid.

That desire to help people is still paramount to his work, and has been translated into everything Warwick Hearing Specialists does.

"Our aftercare and our attention to detail sets us apart," Kabir said. 

"We are very laid back and approachable, but very professional and offer genuine, bespoke care for every patient.

"It is Harley Street care in Warwick - without having to break the bank for it.

"We even give everyone a free trial for every hearing aid so they have peace of mind it works for them before they part with any money."

And while the business had to contend with a break-in and stolen equipment, Kabir said setting up in Warwick has been a pleasure from the start.

"The people here and the sense of community here is great," he said. 

"Everyone knows everyone and it is a lovely place to live and a lovely place to work. It is lovely helping people where you live, and it is a real treat to be working here.

"This sense of belonging motivates us to continually strive for excellence in all aspects of our practice."
