Leamington's local independent brewing brought a taste of Munich to the town this weekend (20 September).

Windmill Hill Brewery's Munich Oktoberfest, which took place at the railway arches in South Leamington, was a huge success.

Emily Stewart-White brought her six-piece wunderbar Oompah band from the Band Factory, playing traditional Bavaria drinking songs and classic English sing-alongs...

Gav at Windmill Hill brewed a Weiss special, which went down well, along with beers from Weihenstepaner: Festbier & DunkelWeiss - the oldest brewery in the world!

There were also freshly baked pretzels, BBQ authentic bratwurst from Rafal at 'Yummy Sausage'.

said: "So many people from came from all over Leamington, wearing lederhosen and Bavarian, the event was sold out!

"It shows that people will come out, sing and dance when a venue makes an effort for an authentic beer festival. South Leam at its best!"

Gav, Bethan and Ben added: "If you liked Oktoberfest, look out for 'Frost The Rails' under the arches in November & December."

They said that this will be a boozy Winter Wonderland, where you can drink and be merry, soaking it all up with some seasonal street food and live music.

In December, Windmill Hill are planning carol singing and pop-up boozy shops for present buying.

"Anything to help bring joy to your festive season. Also, you can hire our Taproom for free from 14 November for your Xmas party!
