A 'redundant' barn is set to get a new lease of life after plans to convert it into four homes were approved.
The scheme for Oakley Wood Farm on Banbury Road will see the modern barn turned into a terrace of four, two-storey properties.
A planning application for a similar scheme had already been approved by Warwick District Council in 2020, but the fresh plans with a new layout have now been given a green light.
There will be few changes to the outside of the barn, which has been used as a workshop and for storage previously.
The main works will see some new windows put in, and some of the roof cut back to create small courtyards for each property.
While landscaping of trees and hedges are set to "soften the appearance of the building", according to the application.
It added: "The development will be an energy efficient and predominately self serviced development that will add to the biodiversity in the environment and reinforce the wildlife and social infrastructure in a sustainable manner.
"The visual impact on the wider environment is minimal and the benefits sustainable."
Approving the application Warwick District Council planners praised the "high quality" scheme which is next to a grade II listed farmhouse.
"The re-use of the building for a residential use would protect the character and setting of the listed building and would represent an enhancement to the immediate setting," a council report said.
"The provision of four dwellings would make good use of the building and lead to an enhancement of the overall setting by restoring and giving the barn a practical purpose," it added.
"It is noted that there are existing barn conversions in the vicinity of this building and this proposal would complement those buildings settings."
