The state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will be screened at venues across Warwick district this Monday (September 19).

The service, which begins at 11am, will take place at Westminster Abbey.

Locally it will be broadcast at:

  • Vue Cinema, Leamington Spa with free admission and a bottle of water for those wishing to attend.
  • Kenilworth Centre, Abbey End open from 10.30am on Monday with coffee, tea and cake available.
  • Kenilworth Sporting Ground, Gypsy Lane, Kenilworth.
  • Whitnash Sports & Social Club, open from 10am.

Residents can still leave floral tributes in Market Square outside Shire Hall.

A service of commemoration and thanksgiving for Queen Elizabeth II will also take place on Sunday 18 September at 2.30pm at St Mary's Church.

The castle will also be closed during the day on Monday, and Warwick District Council has urged residents to make sure their bins are out early on the bank holiday.
