A planning application for seven new signs at the site of a new Big Yellow Storage on Queensway has been submitted.

The new facility will replace the former Aldi supermarket which was demolished last year.

Aldi's former Queensway site had been vacant since the discount retailer built a new store just down the road, with Warwick District Council already giving the green light for the site to be flattened and repurposed.

The site will eventually see a Big Yellow Storage with 7,590m² of storage space constructed.

Now, a fresh application for seven new illuminated signs has been submitted.

It said: "The proposed signs are appropriately spaced on the elevations and will offer an appropriate amount of signage that is proportionate to the scale of the building and its location.

"The signs have been sensitively designed, suitably spaced and will cover an appropriate extent of the building's elevations.

"The proposal will therefore not result in clutter or any cumulative impact.

"The illumination and location of the fascia signs accord with the Regulations, and the overall design of the advertisements will not have any cumulative impacts."
