UPDATE: M40 fully reopen following vehicle fire

The M40 in South Warwickshire has fully reopened following a vehicle fire this moring.

The motorway had two lanes shut northbound this morning as emergency services attended the incident between junctions 11 and 12.

National Highways was warning of 45 minutes delays for motorists.

But an update this afternoon said the scene has now been cleared.

"The scene is now clear and all lanes have re-opened on the M40 in Warwickshire northbound between J11 and J12 following a vehicle fire," it said.

"Thank you for your patience, please have a safe onward journey."
