After a successful Easter weekend, making new fans at gigs in Eastbourne, London, and Ipswich, rock 'n' roll band Hardwicke Circus will perform at Joe Joe Jim's Bar in Birmingham tomorrow (April 15).

Lead Vocalist Jonny Foster told Nub News: "We're going into this week's gigs playing slightly different sets - playing songs from our new album 'Fly the Flag', out on June 9.

"These are songs that we've barely played live. The sets are in a different order and the songs are in a different shape.

"If you've seen us before, you haven't actually seen us – because this is a brand new gig. We're jumping off a much bigger platform that we're encouraging people to come and see."

Hardwicke Circus is still celebrating after a hugely successful weekend.

Jonny said: "Because it was Easter, we had a combination of fans who'd travelled quite a way to see us and people who were out for the weekend.

"We were trying to grab them – we changed our set, played a different variation of songs every night. By the end of it, everyone was dancing - and we sort of converted Ipswich."

The band is hoping to return to Ipswich sometime soon, with a ticketed gig at a bigger venue.

This Thursday, The Harwickes are hoping to sell out their next gig, Backstage at the Green Hotel in Kinross - where distinguished bands from all over Europe perform.

On Friday night, the band will play at the Black Lion in Bridlington, on the east coast. Following a successful gig there last year, the Hardwickes are back due to popular demand – at a bigger venue which is set to be sold out.

Jonny added: "Not only are we coming back to the city, we're coming back with a new venue, a new set, and with bigger songs."
