All flood alerts and warnings for the River Avon near Warwick have now been removed by the Environment Agency.

Homeowners in Warwick have been warned almost all week of potential flooding due to consistent heavy rain.

However, now only the alert for the Rivers Leam and Itchen remain in place.

"River levels are high but steady at the Eathorpe gauge as a result of heavy rainfall," the alert says.

"Consequently, the risk of flooding remains.

"We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Leam between Grandborough and Leamington including Kites Hardwick, Birdingbury, Marton, Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch and the River Itchen between Southam and Marton including Long Itchington

"We expect river levels to remain high until 07/01/24.

"We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are actively checking river levels and the weather forecast.

"Please avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses."
