Learner drivers in Warwick could see their driving tests cancelled next month as examiners plan to strike.

Members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union are planning to walk out on various days through March over pay, pensions, jobs and redundancy terms.

Test centres across the UK are set to be hit by the strikes, including Warwick's centre at Wedgenock House.

The action will not impact theory exams, but will impact car, motorcycle, lorry, bus and tractor practical tests.

PCS members will strike across the UK on Wednesday March 15 and again in the Midlands on 20 and 21 March.

Not all examiners are part of he PCS, and it has not been revealed how many instructors in Warwick will strike.

The Driving Standards Agency (DVSA) will automatically rebook your driving test if it cannot go ahead because of the strike action.

You will be sent the new details within five to 10 working days and do not need to contact DVSA.

Other local test centres including Coventry and Rugby will also be affected.
