Detailed plans for 70 new homes in Leek Wootton have been put forward to the district council by developer Cala Homes.
The latest chapter in the saga around Warwickshire Police's headquarters, the homes would be built around Woodcote Lane.
Cala was recently granted outline permission for the development, following a planning appeal.
And now the housebuilder has submitted a reserved matters application to Warwick District Council.
"The development will provide for an appropriate, density, mix of house types and sizes which responds to local needs and circumstances," the application shows.
There will be a mix of one to five-bed homes, 40 per cent of which will be affordable.
The new estate will be accessed from Woodcote Lane for the northern part and Woodcote Drive for the southern section.
Plans also include a "multi-purpose open space".
In its appeal, Cala was given permission to build 83 homes on the site.
But the reserved matters application explains: "The applicant is not required to bring forward a scheme for the stated maximum number of dwellings and has instead opted for a lower density scheme of 70 dwellings.
"This responds positively to comments received to the outline application by providing a scheme tailored to local circumstances, including the existing character and needs of the village."
Last year residents raised thousands of pounds in an attempt to block the planning appeal.
The developer purchased the plot from the police force in December 2021.
