Up to £320,000 could be given to a Warwick school to help pay for better IT.

Warwickshire County Council is considering the major funding for Aylseford School, all of which would come from section 106 receipts - money brought in from property developers.

A decision on the funding for the Tapping Way school is expected next week.

"The funds requested will enable the school to add new facilities and make further significant improvements to their ICT across all phases of the school," a council report said.

Works could include installing touch screens to replace old projectors, infrastructure to install 10GB fibre internet and a new school WIFI system.

The council said Aylesford wants the work completed by June.

"The specific obligation associated with the developer contributions to be utilised at Aylesford School limit use to that school only and therefore cannot be utilised towards meeting place pressures in any other area of the county or for works at any other school," the report added.
