More Christmas lights have been vandalised in Warwick, with the town council "devastated" by the news.

Warwick Town Council - which has installed more lights than ever before in the town this year - had already reported some lights had been damaged earlier this month.

But having been working hard to fix the first set of damage, the council has now had to report more vandalism.

"We are devastated to see more Christmas lights in Warwick town centre have been vandalised," the council said on social media.

"The Christmas lights on the tree in The Holloway have been snapped.

"We are working with our contractors to get these replaced as soon as possible."

The town council was quick to thank the many sponsors of the Christmas lights (image by James Smith)

The town council has also asked locals to tell Warwickshire Police or the council directly if they witness any vandalism.

A whole range of sponsors, including many local businesses, have helped fund the lights across Warwick this December.

New lights have also this week been installed at the taxi rank.

And sponsorship packages for Christmas 2024 are now available through Warwick Town Council.
