An appeal has been launched after fresh plans to open a dog walking field in Bishop's Tachbrook were again blocked by the council.
Originally just a dairy farm, Squab Hall Farm has since diversified, with many different businesses operating there - and the field hoped to be its latest offering.
After the original scheme was blocked in September 2022, applicant T.I. Evans and Son reworked the plans for the small facility to take up approximately 2.85 hectares of the 485 hectare farm.
The firm said the facility would have been bookable online, and been of particular use for badly behaved or anxiety-prone animals.
But the application was denied by Warwick District Council, with planners saying it was "harmful" to the local area.
Concerns were also made for the need for cars to get to the field, in particular by Bishop's Tachbrook Parish Council.
The field was also said not to be located close enough to any of the nearby villages, and deemed to be "situated in an unsustainable location".
In response to the BTCP concerns of local gas emissions from cars, the applicant stated people are able to walk from Leamington Spa to squab hill farm.
"A continuous footpath connection already exists," it said.
The appeal added: "It will alleviate the pressure on other public open spaces and recreational areas."
Final comments will be received and noted until the January 23 2024, with a decision expected soon after.
