Lanes have finally reopened on the A46 near Kenilworth after a lorry flipped on its side this morning.

The southbound carriageway has been blocked between the A45 Coventry and A452 Kenilworth since late morning following the incident.

But National Highways has now reported the road has reopened - with one lane remaining closed for barrier repairs.

Bus operator Stagecoach is warning of delays to its services because of the closures.

"Unfortunately, due to the RTC and road closure on the A46 this is having an ongoing impact on our services," it said on social media.

"We have services operating up to an hour late and this is impacting driver's hours and breaks.

"Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."

The incident was first reported at around 11.30am by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.

"The Water Rescue unit from Rugby came across an RTC on the A46 with a HGV on its side," a statement said.

"Further appliances from Leamington attended and assisted the driver from the cab using the triple extension ladder.
