Thousands of runners took to the streets of Kenilworth and Warwick today (June 9) for the 40th instalment of the Two Castles Run.

Organisers said 4,500 people signed up to complete the 10km race from Warwick Castle to Kenilworth Castle.

The route took participants from Warwick, along Coventry Road and up to Leek Wootton. From there they went along Rouncil Lane before heading along Rounds Hill to Kenilworth Castle.

From the start the runners were cheered, clapped and supported by residents who came out in their thousands to line the streets.

Here is a selection of images from today's run.
