Duties: General Engineering Technologists & Technicians support engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products/processes. Activities include but are not limited to;

• Identifying and recommending improvements/preventive actions,
• inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and systems.
• Monitor processes, estimates costs, makes or verifies calculations
• Analyse and interpret data.
• Tests new and modified products, processes, and/or systems.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
• Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals.
• Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Skills:

• Experienced Damper Build Engineer with proven track record of producing bespoke / prototype damper specification builds in a range of different damper technologies.
• Good IT skills, experience of running rating measurement equipment and processing results.
• Background in Automotive, either OEM, supplier or motorsport/specialist businesses.
• Position would be joining a team of build engineers working on a double day-shift pattern and so this would be expected.

Education:

• Minimum 2 years experience in the field, Automotive OEM prototype, supplier or motorsport/specialist.
• Physical, hands-on experience is essential.
• Engineering degree or other formal relevant training/education is desirable.
• Must be willing to take part in a mechanical trial / skills test hand building a damper.
