One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers, is currently recruiting for a Component Engineer, to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. As a Component Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and release of suspension mechanical and hydraulic components. Based in Warwickshire, you will be supporting, a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Engineers, on a contract basis.

Responsibilities of the Component Engineer include:

Collaborating with internal stakeholders to collate and agree on requirements. Negotiating design requirements with potential suppliers. Coordinating development activities with suppliers to finalise product specifications. Working with Procurement to manage supplier selection processes. Managing suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products that meet cost and attribute targets. Delivering Gateway requirements for components within the specified process.

Qualifications and skills required for the Component Engineer position:

Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent industry experience. Experience working with automotive suppliers for mechanical and/or hydraulic components. Proven experience in component development and design verification planning and management. Familiarity with on-cycle product and programme delivery processes. Excellent communication skills and a strong team player. Knowledge of hydraulics principles and underlying physics and experience using Matlab for data analysis is desirable
