Responsibilities

As a 7.5t Driver, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle to deliver goods efficiently and safely to customers or designated locations.
  • Adhering to all legal requirements, including load securing and traffic laws.
  • Conducting pre- and post-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Loading and unloading products while following proper manual handling techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and ensuring delivery paperwork is completed.
  • Utilizing a CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and digital tachograph card to comply with legal and company procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, acting as a positive representative of the company.
  • Taking responsibility for the cleanliness and condition of your assigned vehicle.
  • Reporting any incidents, delays, or issues promptly to the relevant team.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you ll need the following:

  • A valid UK Driving Licence with a 7.5-tonne entitlement (no more than 6 points, no DRs etc.)
  • A valid CPC Certification and Digi Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle, with a strong understanding of driving safety and regulations.
  • Proficiency in manual handling, with the ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent service to customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules.
  • A commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
  • Flexibility to sometimes adapt to changing schedules or requirements.
Day-to-Day

In this role, you can expect:

  • Starting your day by conducting a full vehicle safety check, reviewing your delivery schedule, and loading your vehicle if needed.
  • Driving to customers, navigating efficiently while following all traffic laws and company protocols.
  • Handling goods with care, ensuring that all items are delivered in excellent condition and on time.
  • Interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner during pickups or deliveries.
  • Ensuring complete compliance with CPC guidelines and tachograph card usage during driving hours.
  • Reporting back to your dispatch team and logging delivery or journey data accurately.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle in line with company standards.
  • Ending your day with post-journey vehicle checks and preparing for the upcoming schedule.

The shift times are 06:00-15:00 (finish times may vary) Monday to Friday. The starting pay is £16/h.

How You'll Make an Impact Lead Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) at supplier sites Contain, manage, and resolve non-conformance issues for components used in Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) assembly and service facilities Drive supplier root cause investigations and implement effective corrective actions Audit existing and potential suppliers to assess manufacturing capability and quality systems Develop supplier capability to meet current and future business needs Support cost reduction initiatives and process improvements across the supply chain Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of parts Be regularly onsite with suppliers (up to 50% travel) to support production and quality development What You Bring Required: Technical education/training in Quality, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Strong understanding of manufacturing processes - both traditional and modern Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO9001) and Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Skilled in drawing interpretation (including GD&T) Proven experience resolving multi-faceted supplier issues and managing PPQs Self-driven and proactive with strong project ownership Hands-on experience working with complex, critical parts (e.g., discs, shafts, assemblies) Knowledge of inspection methodologies and process capability assessment Preferred: Background in Aerospace or similar high-integrity industries (preferred over automotive) Experience applying Quality improvement tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.) Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems Working Arrangements Hybrid role: Minimum 3 days onsite in Warwick Travel up to 50% to supplier sites No legal travel restrictions Why Join Us?
