Job Title: Emergency Response Officer Location: Warwick (Hybrid/Flexible Working) Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential to Extend) Sector: Critical National Infrastructure | Energy | Resilience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver emergency training and exercises for operational and tactical response teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional incident response strategies and embed lessons learned.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response tools, procedures, and facilities.
  • Represent the organisation in national forums and with key stakeholders.
  • Support the evolution of emergency arrangements for future energy systems (eg, hydrogen).

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in emergency planning or incident response (Category 1 or 2 responder experience ideal).
  • Knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act, JESIP, or safety legislation (COMAH, PSR, GSMR).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Calm, clear-headed thinking in high-pressure situations.
  • Qualifications in emergency planning or business continuity.
  • Experience in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.

Business change experience, including effective communications, business engagement and stakeholder management. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with senior leaders. Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a team structure.
