We operate a fresh food kitchen and focus on excellent service, a team approach.We have a wonderful location on the Grand Union Canal in Warwick and are a very busy pub.Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining food safety standards.Duties:- Assist the Head Chef in food preparation, and recipe creation & menu creation- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and maintain high culinary standards- Lead by example, demonstrating excellent culinary skills and professionalism- Help in training and developing kitchen staff to enhance their culinary abilities- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness standards- Support the Head Chef in inventory management and ordering supplies as neededSkills:- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management within a busy kitchen environment- Proficient in various kitchen techniques and culinary skills- Ability to help coordinate food production efficiently while maintaining quality standards- Skilled in supervising kitchen staff to achieve operational excellence- Experience as a cook with expertise in food preparation and presentation- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure a safe kitchen environmentJoin our team as a Sous Chef and be part of an exciting culinary journey where your skills and passion for cooking will be valued and nurtured.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £25,000.00-£30,971.00 per yearBenefits: Company pension Discounted or free food Employee discountExperience: Chef: 2 years (required) Cooking: 2 years (required)Work Location: In person
