My client in the Nuneaton area require an experience Refrigeration Engineer (Automotive) Job Overview The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and related equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, leadership abilities, and the capability to interpret schematics effectively. The Refrigeration Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of refrigeration systems within our facilities. Responsibilities Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure efficient operation. Interpret and work from schematics to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Lead projects related to the installation and construction of new refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with other engineering staff to improve system performance and reliability. Perform troubleshooting on malfunctioning equipment, identifying root causes and executing necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment. Provide guidance and training to junior staff members in best practices for equipment repair and maintenance. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in refrigeration engineering or a related field. Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings is essential for diagnosing system issues. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage projects effectively and mentor team members. Experience in equipment repair, particularly in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Knowledge of maintenance practices within industrial or commercial settings is advantageous. Previous experience in construction related to HVAC systems is a plus.
