About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the renewable energy sector in a high-impact role that directly supports global supply chain resilience and cost optimisation.
You'll be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, responsible for leading sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts, and delivering robust supplier strategies across high-value direct components.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for direct material categories, including aerospace and industrial components.
- Conduct cost breakdowns and total cost of acquisition (TCA) analysis to drive cost savings.
- Manage end-to-end procurement strategies and supplier selection processes.
- Support bid preparation by aligning supplier capability and cost with project needs.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to minimise commercial risk and ensure continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and project management teams to align procurement with project deliverables.
- Drive value engineering and resourcing strategies across global supply bases.
- Monitor and report procurement KPIs and project spend.
What We re Looking For
- 10+ years experience in strategic procurement, commodity management, or direct sourcing.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven contract negotiation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost/value engineering.
- Ability to work independently and manage supplier relationships across global, matrixed organisations.
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, cost modelling).
- Experience working on large-scale, project-based procurement in technical or engineering environments.
- Bachelor s degree essential; CIPS and/or Master s degree preferred.

- Strategic sourcing / spend analysis
- Direct procurement (aerospace, industrial, or engineering components)
- Cost breakdown analysis & TCO modelling
- Supplier relationship management (SRM)
- Risk management in global supply chains
- Working knowledge of contractual T&Cs and bid support
