Your new company Hays are delighted to be working with a leading construction company to recruit their next Management Accountant. The company is based in Warwickshire and offers excellent benefits and career progression. Your new role The role will form part of a small team and reports to the head office at group level and a local Finance Director. The role of management accountant requires someone who is used to working to tight deadlines and producing accurate reports. Key duties will involve reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing month end accounts, weekly cash actuals and supporting the Finance Director with other ad-hoc tasks. There are other project related duties involving helping the sales team with control expenditure and budget setting. This is a varied and pivotal role and, given the size of the team you may also have to support with overseeing ledgers and payroll on an ad-hoc basis. What you'll need to succeed We are looking for a Qualified or finalist level Management Accountant who is comfortable working in a hands-on all round environment but also comfortable reporting numbers into a group structure. Previous knowledge of an ERP system would be highly beneficial as would strong working knowledge of Excel. This role could suit an experienced industry management accountant or equally a first time mover from practice. Candidates with a knowledge of manufacturing, construction or engineering would be very relevant but this is not a total necessity.What you'll get in return A basic salary unto £50000 plus car allowance, bonus and generous pension.
