Connections Engineer

Sector: Transmission and Distribution

Location: Remote (1-2 days on-site per month) (Warwick or Leeds office)

Contract Length: 6 months (likely to extend)

Role Outline:

• As an authorised engineer, you will lead the development and costing of connection offer proposals and feasibility studies for Customer related investments for the GB Electricity Transmission System.
• Put together a project program by bringing costs together, whilst verifying how to deliver the works.
• Lead the development and costing for several customer connection investments up to the point that an initial proposal has been developed and an investment driver has been established.
• Develop a range of costed delivery programme options for each project to discuss with the customer to ensure best fit and solution with their requirements.
• Looking at the option selection phase of the Network Development Process for a portfolio of customer investments for the GB Electricity Transmission System in support of the investment driver.
• Creating Scoping Documents following the TP500 process.

Qualifications / Experience:

• High Voltage Transmission experience.
• Electrical knowledge of assets and their cost estimation.
• Proficient in Contract Management and Commercial experience.
• IOSH/NEBOSH
