The M40 fully reopened near Warwick in the early hours of this morning (October 9) following a vehicle fire yesterday.

Lanes were shut northbound between J15 Warwick and J16 for the M42 following a vehicle fire and fuel spillage.

The first lane reopened around 2pm, following a second later in the afternoon - but motorists were still hit by 90 minute delays.

Lane one remained closed throughout the evening for emergency resurfacing.

All lanes reopened around 3am this morning.
