Exciting Opportunity: Colour and Materials Designer up to £39.13/hr Umbrella Gaydon - Until March 2025Are you a creative visionary passionate about sustainability and innovation in design? What You Will Do: - Spearhead sustainable and responsible material initiatives, from research to realisation, enhancing the company's commitment to eco-friendly solutions.- Engage in trend analysis, landscape shifts, and new ideas generation for next-generation vehicles, crafting material strategies for future implementation.- Develop and realise inspiring Materiality concepts through digital and physical assets, from concept to Job 1 and beyond.- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of colour and material design proposals, ensuring alignment with Materiality strategies and vision properties.- Support project management of vehicle builds related to colour and material design, including procurement and on-location support.- Conduct competitor benchmarking and collaborate with external suppliers to translate material concepts from 2D to 3D products, ensuring top-notch component production. What You Will Bring: - Proficiency in design software (Photoshop/Illustrator/VRED) and a BA Design Degree or equivalent, showcasing your strong foundation in design principles.- Demonstrated experience in textile, fashion, graphics, product, or automotive design with a portfolio that highlights your colour and material design application expertise.- Exceptional creative and presentation skills, with advanced knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office software.- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.- A passion for Colour and Material Technology, sustainability, and design, evidenced by a keen interest in industry trends, innovations, and a modern luxury taste level.
